ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER My name is Jim Friday and my passion for photography began when I bought my first camera as a freshman in high school. Over three decades as a research scientist in photographic film development at Eastman Kodak also taught me a great deal about the art and science of imaging. My wife grew up on the shores of Lake Champlain and we both went to school in the Adirondacks in upstate New York. We developed a love of the out-of-doors and our family spent many summers hiking, kayaking and enjoying the natural beauty of this great land. My camera was always close at hand. After retiring from Kodak, I grew even more passionate about developing my photographic skills. Sharing my images with others seemed like a logical progression, hence www.Jim Friday.com was born. ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHS Nature and breath-taking landscapes are dominate themes throughout much of my work. Most recently I have been experimenting with large format panoramic images. Images of the eastern Adirondack Mountains, Lake Champlain and our spectacular national parks are some of my favorite subjects. I also do custom work on request.
